Finding Space in Non-Traditional Areas
If you have a small home or not a lot of closet space, you might sometimes feel at a loss for where you can store more items. If this is the case, here’s a list of places that you can find storage area in your small home, aside from your closets, attic and garage:
Under your bed
Are you making use of under-bed storage containers? If you don’t want to invest in those, you can slide suitcases under the bed, or other relatively flat containers.
Roll-out stairway drawers
If you have a staircase, these stairway drawers would fit nicely under them! Store small to medium-sized items this way.
Over your cabinets
If you have space between your kitchen cabinets and your ceilings, consider keeping seldom-used items in bins or baskets placed on top of the cabinets.
